Don't ever let them take you down.

So my cousin’s wedding is in a couple weeks

And I have no idea what to wear for the wedding. 
I haven’t attended a wedding as a guest in years (because I couldn’t make it to the last couple I was invited to)…
But my mom is taking me dress shopping. I don’t know whether to go formal (after all, it is a wedding, but I don’t want to be mistaken for someone who is in it), or somewhat casual. 

Any ideas on what I should go for?
